May 2025 School Pulse Panel Results

This past week, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) released findings from the May 2025 School Pulse Panel.

The School Pulse Panel (SPP) is a rapid response survey that collects data on high-priority, education-related topics from public K-12 schools and is conducted by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) within the Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences (IES).

The website update for the May data collection includes nationally representative results from the survey on topics related to student behavior, social and emotional skills, and school crime, preparedness and safety procedures, including historical data for topics when available. Results are reported for all schools and for selected groups, such as by region of the country, school locale, school level, school size, percentage of students of color in the school, and density of poverty in the neighborhood around the school.
