New What Works Clearinghouse Report: Passport Reading JourneysTM


The What Works Clearinghouse recently reviewed the research on Passport Reading JourneysTM and its impact on adolescent readers. The results are summarized in an intervention report released today.
Passport Reading JourneysTM is a supplemental literacy curriculum designed to help improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, word study, and writing skills among struggling readers in grades 6–12. Based on the research, the Clearinghouse found that Passport Reading JourneysTM has inconsistent effects on comprehension and little or no effect on general literacy achievement for struggling adolescent readers.
