For policymakers to successfully pursue
their state’s education and workforce goals, it is imperative to have a
keen understanding of their unique postsecondary education governance
system. Earlier this year, the Education Commission of the States released a 50-State Comparison, individual
state profiles and a data visualization tool to assist policymakers and
the broader education community in expanding their knowledge of the
governance systems in their state and others. Today they add An Analysis of State Postsecondary Governance Structures, a Policy Guide describing the various models and structures.
