Two I CAN Learn Curricula Show No Discernible Effects on Grade 8 Math Achievement

The What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) has released two new Intervention Reports on I CAN Learn®, a computer-based math curriculum for students in middle school, high school, and college.
The WWC recently reviewed the research on the effects of I CAN Learn® Pre-Algebra and I CAN Learn® Algebra on students in grade 8.

These reports include the latest high-quality effectiveness research on this program, as well as research reviewed as a part of previous Intervention Reports published in 2009 and 2012.

Based on the most recent available evidence, the WWC found that I CAN Learn® Pre-Algebra and I CAN Learn® Algebra have no discernible effect on mathematics achievement for eighth-grade students.

The new intervention reports: Pre-Algebra and Algebra.
